How has the economic downturn affected you?
Hi, just wanted to share that I got 2 friends who were retrenched in the recent DBS layoff. I also spoke to another friend last night and he told me that he is mentally-prepared to be retrenched after CNY, he is into assets-managing. All 3 of them are in their 30s and have family and financial committments. Trying to find a new job now but I guess it's not easy for them and I'm sure they feel stressed. Has the downturn affected any of you? For my own case, not really but I am now watching what I spend on. Just felt abit depressed when I heard about my friends. :(

  1. 200 – 300 gram of Macoroni
  2. 1 can of tuna
  3. 4 pcs of hotdog
  4. 1 medium size yellow onions
  5. 2 pcs of bay leave

  7. 1 table spoon of Black Pepper

I like having family dinner at Ms Clarity Cafe (Katong area), which serves reasonably-priced western food. Having a 7 month old baby with us, the place we eat has to be less crowded, condusive and comfortable. The restaurant is so colourful that it always catches my girl's attention. The staff are friendly and patrons can also play board games (e.g. monopoly) or uno as a family after having our main meal. It's not just a place to eat, but also a place to connect and have fun (indoors) with the family. For ice-cream lovers, the restaurant serves Ben & Jerry's ice-cream! Best of all, there's no GST or service charge!
