An established centre for labour education and training in Singapore, OCT Institute’s programmes range from short courses to certificate and professional diploma courses for trade union leaders, labour-management groups and others interested in the industrial and employment relations field.
A growing number of regional and international participants have also benefited from the Institute’s education activities, organised in collaboration with partners such as the NTUC, ITUC-AP, ILO-ACTRAV and others.
Some of the training conducted by OTC Institute include the Human Resource Workforce Skills Qualifications in Industrial Relations, and HR WSQ (IR) for HR practitioners, line managers and supervisors. This is the first time the HR WSQ framework, and OTC Institute is the first and only training provider to do offer the HR WSQ (IR) programme, under the HR WSQ framework, as part of the mandate to advance the practice of good industrial relations.
Prominent players in the field of continuing training and development, namely NTUC LearningHub (LHub), NTUC’s SEED Institute and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) have pledged to collaborate with OTC Institute to jointly market the HR WSQ (IR) programme.
